Do you enjoy taking vacations to beautiful places? Then you should visit Diamond Head Hawaii. There is a volcanic tuff cone called Diamond Head that is located on Oahu.

It is on the eastern side of the coastline for Waikiki. The thing that makes this monument unique is that it was formed around 300,000 years ago.

This crater is known as a United States State Monument and part of it is used for a platform for antennas that is placed there by the U.S. government. The public can’t visit this volcanic crater, but its close proximity to the beaches and hotels in Honolulu makes it the perfect vacation destination.

There is a hike that you can participate in while visiting beautiful Hawaii that will lead you to the edge of the craters rim. This is a one and a half to two hour hike. Anyone that decides to enjoy this hike is encouraged to bring water and flashlights.

The hike is said to be an easy one, but the trail is unpaved and winds over rocks that are uneven. Plus there are 74 steps going up the trail and then you will go through a tunnel that leads to another 99 steps.

Then there is another small tunnel, which built back in 1908, that you need a flashlight for that leads to a narrow spiral staircase consisting of about 30 steps and is inside the coastal artillery observation platform.

From this vantage point you will be able to see the Pacific Ocean and Waikiki in detail that can’t be seen from other areas. This provides you with a unique view that not a lot of people will get to experience in their lifetime.

The sight of bunkers that date back to World War II is another thing that makes the trip memorable. This trail was built in 1908 as a military defense. These are not things that you will find in many places in the U.S. anymore.

So if you want a unique experience to see a natural wonder then a trip to Diamond Head Hawaii is definitely the place for you to visit. Plan your vacation here now because it will definitely be an experience you will never forget.

Look at all of the things to do in Waikiki Hawaii when you get to Oahu. You will not run out of things to do for a long time. You will surely find many things that you will want to do.

Jeff Schuman hopes you enjoyed this article on visiting Diamond Head Hawaii and visiting Oahu. He invites you visit his website today to see the top things to do in Hawaii.

When searching for a destination that will seduce you by its wide variety of cultural, commercial and tourism offer, or search for a vibrant commercial to make its global operations, Chicago has much to offer. Located along the picturesque lake Michigan, the Windy City has some of tallest buildings to America and the best convention facilities and attractions that might be why the crowd of visitors chose to set foot in this city.

But not all, because this city is also known for being relatively accessible, whether in tourism, accommodation in business center. Large numbers of cheaper housing options, both inside and outside the city center should be music to the ears if you are looking for affordable accommodation without compromising the quality and experience. Just a bit of research for the best deals on hotels and you’re ready to take advantage of Chicago. I will help you start giving the following information on cheap Chicago.Cheap Chicago Hotels – an exceptional value for your money

One reason why Chicago is a great attraction for visitors is its location. Chicago has not only a first home for several travelers on a budget, you can also say with pride that the customer experience in hotels are not affected one bit “lonely but they spent much less than in a hotel five stars. What is the main driver of these higher experiences? It’s just the service. Customers of these cheap hotels you can expect a level of service that we can expect a much more expensive hotel five stars. However, not all. Also the services provided by most of these hotels have more than enough to satisfy your customers. They include laundry service, room service 24 hours a day and the delicious cuisine in our restaurants. So when you factor everything will be satisfied with the value of your money can be expected from one of these hotels.

The first booking – Net Deals practice that can

If the advance booking for its properties and its practice, it is likely that is to get great savings if you make it off the same hotel in Chicago. That’s because Chicago hotels provide regular offers and discounts for customers. The early booking is particularly important if you’re on a budget since the money you save on hotel costs can go and enjoy the many sights and sounds of Chicago. This practice is the best you want to be close to tourist attractions and hotels in places such as the primary reserves tend to receive many tourists.

The location factor

Considering that the areas of Chicago are most appropriate for you, consider the money, time and effort involved in mobilizing and from your hotel to where we should be. Therefore, a good location near your destination, it is essential for an enjoyable experience and save time in the city. In Chicago, more expensive hotels are clustered in and around areas of central and north of Michigan Avenue and the cycle, while the suburbs close to home for cheaper. Do not worry if you prefer to be located in the downtown, however, there are cheaper options available if you know where to look. The downtown tourist can enjoy nearby restaurants, shops and entertainment, as well as modern equipment.

However, if you want to leave the hustle and stay on the outside world rather than neighborhoods, you can always reach the center of the city efficiently if you enjoy the tracks in Chicago and extensive bus network. I suggest you try Greater Chicago and Lincoln Park are beautiful, semi-residential areas with potential for more affordable housing and provide easy access to downtown by rail.

Naples is located in Collier County Fl. The population is around 315,000. Naples received its name when founded in the 1880’s by John Stuart Williams. The area’s subtropical climate and bay area atmosphere likened it to an Italian city also called Naples.

The city is next to Marco Island and the Everglades and is most famous for its vacation area known as The Paradise Coast. Naples has several land reserves that include Everglades National Park and Corkscrew Sanctuary .

Naples is a very wealthy city, downtown you can discover the Naples Players, Gulf Shore Playhouse, and the 5th and 3rd Ave. shopping districts. These are high end shops that include Saks, Gucci, Tiffany, and Lacoste among others. This area is all open air shopping, and there is fine dining on almost every corner.

During the winter Naples is absolutely vibrating with tourists and music. Odds are you will see some Ferrari’s Mazaratti’s and other exotic vehicles. Make sure you head down to the beachfront and check out the Naples Fisherman’s Pier. This is a great place to observe the locals fish and see the amazing sunsets.

If high end fashion isn’t for you stop by Tin City, what used to be a fisherman’s wharf has been transformed into around 30-40 unique boutiques and restaurants.
You can also take a sightseeing cruise here before or after your lunch, prices are not bad.

If you are traveling with kids you must go to see the Naples Zoo, founded in the early 1900’s they have a wide variety of animals, shows and crafts for the children. Depending on there are also a huge selection of adventure cruises, Everglade Air Boat tours, sight seeing cruises etc. You can challenge Para-sailing or rent kayaks, canoes, and seaboards.

There is a wide variety of restaurants in Naples. Some of the most popular can’t miss restaurants are Cloyde’s Steak and Lobster House, The Waterfront Grille, Gordon’s Waterfront Grill and Shula’s Steakhouse.

If you golf player then you are in the right spot. Naples is said to be the largest golf hole per capita in all of the US, this is debatable. Some prominent courses are the Windemere, Eagles Creek, and Foxfire.

There are lots of hotels and motels in this region, Naples Vacation House Rentals are also an excellent way to fulfill the accommodation aspect of your trip. Vacation homes are also available in nearby Fort Myers and Marco Island – browse Fort Myers beach Vacation House Rentals and Marco Island vacation Condo Rentals.

Famous people you can meet there: Tiger Woods, VJ Singh and Bill Cosby all have a property in Naples.

Christmas camp 20 – 26 December 2009 in the Kruger National Park

20th December 2009

As we approached the Numbi gate in a shinning Lion hunting machine (Open Safari Vehicle), I had a strange feeling as though I was going to a rugby match. There was a massive long queue of local visitors waiting to obtain the entrance permits and unfortunately I just had to fall in and wait my turn.
Once I was helped with the relevant documents and after my client briefing we were on our way and as we were staying at Skakuza for 2 nights I decided to get off the main roads and travel on the gravel road towards our camp. This proved to be a good decision as most of the cars entering chose to stay on the tar road and very soon we found that we where all alone. Approximately 1.3 Kms from the gate, We drove into a heard of 100 buffaloes and there was our big 5 count starting already. 500 meters on we found 3 White Rino standing in the middle of the road – how majestic.

The general game (zebra, antelope, giraffe and Blue wildebeest) was plentiful on our drive into camp. After booking in at Skakuza we all had some free time to just enjoy being in the bush.
Our afternoon drive gave us 5 Elephant (1 Bull in musth). We were traveling south on Napi and 300m before the H3 junction we came across 3 wild dog playing in the road. This was an awesome way to end our day.

21st December 2009

Early morning rise, out the camp and onto Tshokwane for breakfast. I decided to take marula loop, for a change and 1.4Kms down the road lay a pride of Lions consisting of 1 Male, 2 females and 6 Cubs. All of them still wet from the rain we had during the night. After breakfast we traveled along the H10 towards Lower Sabie and came upon a Fresh water crab on the road – unusual animal sighting I thought as the closest water was approximately 3 Kms from us.

After stopping off at Lower Sabie we drove along Eloff street, hoping to have some animals come across the road towards the water – I was wrong as Eloff proved to be very disappointing. Back into Skakuza just before the gates of the camp closed.

22nd December 2009

After an early morning game drive we cam back to Skakuza for breakfast. Once we were done with a brilliant traditional breakfast we packed our bags and moved on to our following camp Pretoriuskop. In the sothern part of the park, you can tell we have had good rain fall this summer as the vegetation growth is something phenomenal. One thing’s for sure the guides have to work hard for your money as animal sightings especially the cats are hard to find (well hidden in the Yellow thatch grass).
On the main road towards Pretoriuskop from Skukuza (Napi) general sightings were good. Something I decided to do was stop of at Mathekenyane look out point. In the distance we found the Black Rhino enjoying the shade of a common sweet thorn acacia tree. As we drove into Pretoriuskop my guests and I decided that we would leave camp at 4pm as it was incredibly hot. Temperature must have been well over 39 deg Cel.At 4pm I was happy to be informed by Dean that he had picked up two Cheetah’s on the Napi road between Transport dam entrance and Napi Boulders entrance. We all decided that we would move towards Dean and he continuously updated us regarding these two beautiful cats. Just as luck would have it as we got to the sighting, both brothers lay down bringing our visibility to 0/5. Fortunately all the holiday makers decided to leave and soon we were the only car there. As if prompted, both cheetah’s stood up and started walking parallel with the car. What a brilliant sighting, both of them allowed my guests enough time to take photos that would fill a photo album. Thanks for calling us in Dean.

23rd December 2009

We had some late sleepers this morning but those that got up with me moved out of camp and onto Voortrekker Road towards Afsaal picnic spot for Breakfast. I as guide prefer these spots in the park to that of a restaurant. Breakfasts are wholesome and always enjoyable especially with a cup of coffee.

After breakfast we continued south along the H3 towards berg-n-dal and 1.7kms past Mlambane loop entrance we came across 3 Nomadic male Lions lying 5m off the road. After spending some time with them, watching them roar (intimidating). We moved on. What stuck in my mind was the 1 “Older” male +-11 – 13years reminded me of “Scar” in the movie “THE LION KING” as his face was full of scars but a predominant one that stretched right across his right eye. Wonder if “Mafasa” was lying in the grass somewhere watching us.

The morning proved to be good with “Up close and personal” sightings of white rhinos, but back to camp as some of my clients were leaving the Kruger. Once we said our goodbyes we decided to head out in search of the “Illusive Cat with spots” the Leopard.

This proved rather difficult and most of the day was spent driving and searching for this prize. Just before my guests got “square bums” from all the sitting we drove towards Shebeni koppies and I’m sure you know what happened next………. There she lay on top of a granite outcrop just minding her own business. I still say it’s my favorite cat. We spent about 10 – 15 min with her before she moved off into the thicket. Well back onto camp but at lest with precious memories and photo’s of the “cat that didn’t get away”.

24th December 2009

Just goes to show No animal in our Kruger Park has read any manuals on animal behavior, as I could tell today was going to be very quite. Few animal sightings of the big 5 animals and this could have been due to the extreme heat we were experiencing. The “general game” was out but also not in full force. My guests mentioned that they might have been invited to a “Christmas party” and if so it must have been an open invitation as very little was seen for the rest of the day.

25th December 2009

Christmas day in the bush was no different to any other day, apart from the occasional “Ho Ho Ho” on the radio and some Field Guides with father Christmas hats, no luck on any reindeers. My clients also enjoyed the bird life Kruger has to offer and most of our time on the drive was spent Birding. Some of the typical birds seen where lesser striped swallow, palm swift, red collared widowbird, long tailed whydah, black collared barbet, European roller, Lilac Breasted roller, burchell’s coucal, ground hornbill, woodland kingfisher, pied kingfisher, red Crested korhaan, kori Bustard and Common ostrich.
We decided to end the day early and move back to camp to spend a lazy afternoon just relaxing. The restaurant treated us to a traditional South African Braai or barbeque as some of you might know it and with full stomachs and heavy eyelids we retired back to our rooms.

26th December 2009

D-Day arrived and so after an early morning drive we had breakfast at Pretoriuskop and then bid farewell to the Kruger park. I could see my clients were sad to leave and on this, I said to them when they back in their high-rise offices with central heating or air-conditioning and the weather looks gloomy out there and they have a 150 emails to attend to, just sit back and think of Mark, driving looking for the next best animal to appreciate.
With this they climbed into the microbus and off they went to catch their airplane back to the concrete jungle.

After that it was my turn and I greeted the bush with some sadness, but new I will be back with some more Lion Hunters on my Open Safari Vehicle sometime soon.

Goodnight God Bless Goodbye.

For 2 centuries, Niagara Falls has been associated with honeymoons. The origins of this tradition have been thoroughly explored by writer Ginger Strand, and a full detailed summary of her findings can be read at http://www.believermag.com/issues/200801/?read=article_strand

The tradition of a post marriage honeymoon is only a few centuries old, as couples, in many historical and modern traditions retire to the groom’s home immediately after the ceremony. Ginger found that the Niagara tradition grew out of an old European tradition of the post-nuptial grand European tour, which was a popular way for a couple to get to know one another after the public ceremony. In part, according to Ms. Strand, the tradition allowed the wife to visit places the husband had frequented alone, before the marriage. And according to her, the timid Victorian women were often embarrassed to acknowledge publicly that they were newly weds

Some of the earliest famous honeymooner’s to visit Niagara Falls included Aaron Burr’s daughter and Napoleon Bonaparte brother’s.

Honeymoons to Niagara Falls increased after the completion of the Erie Canal made transportation to the North more convenient. In fact, the tradition had grown so much by 1845, that a popular song glorified the growing practice:

” To see the Falls they took a ride
On the steamship ‘Maid o’ the Mist;’
She forgot the Falls she was so busy
Being hugged and kissed. “

In the post Victorian early 2oth century, women dropped their discomfort about the newly wed image. “Frapper dress,” was in vogue ,and a 1927 news article described a young couple who had eloped to Goat Island; the picturesque island which separates the American and Canadian Falls.

By the early 1920s the Niagara Fall’s honeymoon status were taking on an amplified public status. The City of Niagara Falls ran a contest to find the oldest living couple who had honeymooned at the falls. The winners, an octogenarian couple from Philadelphia won an all expense paid second honeymoon package to the falls.

In the 1940s and 1950s,.a series of Hollywood Movies glorified the falls. The first two flicks depicted unwed couples who were swept into marriage by a vacation to Niagara City. The third movie, staring Marilyn Monroe, portrayed a visit to the falls by a couple who had honeymooned there years earlier. Ironically, the wife in the film, portrayed by Marilyn, was plotting to kill her husband. Nevertheless, the movie spawned a renewed Niagara honeymoon fever. Niagara was, by now, known as the “Honeymoon Capital,” of the country.

The last 40 years have seen a commercialization of the Niagara wedding and honeymoon package. The falls has been challenged by more and more tough competition as alternatives, such as
the “destination ” wedding package, offer exotic competition to a Niagara Falls honeymoon.

Nevertheless, Niagara remains as an American iconoclastic symbol of the honeymoon and past-marriage period when couples “take the plunge,” into the sometimes initially turbulent water of married life.

Millions come to Australia every year, and not just for business or relocation, but to simply enjoy the many types of vacations this country provides. From natural treasures to exotic resorts, this country offers tourists everything. Modern conveniences and true outdoor experiences await!

Sometimes the hardest thing to do when vacation time is coming is to decide where to go. It often depends on what you want to spend your time doing. Many people want to sign up for cruises or group tours, seeking to meet new people in exciting locations. Others want something more private or more typical, like a hotel with a beach nearby. And further more people are looking to really get away, to rough it deep in the culture of whatever country they are visiting. Would you believe that Australia suits all types of vacation?

One of the main attractions for any vacation spot is a beach. Australia is blessed with approximately ten thousand beaches and it’s no wonder, since this land has fifty thousand kilometers of coastline. Surrounded by beautiful blue oceans, the Australian way of life is very laid back and the ocean is an integral part of that. Sand and sun are never far away.

Noosa Heads, which is located in tropical Queensland, is one of Australia’s most famous tourist attractions. This spectacular beach side paradise fills up with visitors come summer time so book your Noosa Holiday Accommodation in advance so you don’t miss out on experiencing this magical resort style location. This gorgeous sea side village offers beach culture at its finest and combines up market shopping, the finest restaurants, trendy wine bars and beach side Noosa Holiday Accommodation.

Some people don’t want to wander a beach but actually want to enjoy the full service of a luxurious hotel or resort. Australia boasts many world renowned hotels, as well as exotic resorts that cater to famous guests including rock stars and other celebrities. Many turn to this country for discrete holidays, using the special resorts as sanctuaries. Byron at Byron offers full service including five ‘treatment’ rooms and Vichy shower, and apartment style rooms that are a good distance from the main complex, offering complete privacy.

Australia is also overflowing with natural treasures. Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, was declared a world heritage site. The great sandstone formation is littered with waterholes and deep caves, and covered with ancient paintings, hinting at the mysterious legends that surround the huge rock. Henbury Meteorites Conversation Reserve draws scientific minds from all over the world and is the result of a meteor explosion five thousand years ago. Twelve large craters pock the ground, making it look like a lunar landscape in the eyes of many.

Barron Gorge National Park, another world heritage site, sports incredible waterfalls and tropical rainforests. Flecker Botanical Gardens brags about having at least a hundred species of the palm plant alone, and the footpaths that tread through the gardens are peaceful and serene. If it’s a park you’re looking for, Australia has it, from protected forests to open campgrounds. Hiking and guide tours are available, you only have to choose!

With a country that’s surrounded by clear blue ocean water, it’s no surprise that people flock to Australia for snorkeling and scuba diving. The Great Barrier Reef, the only living organic collective visible from space, is a protected sanctuary that still has a few choice places for tourists to drop anchor and visit the reef beneath the waves. Rare fish and sea creatures call this place home. Nearby Melbourne is a tourist capital, and visitors can purchase helicopters to fly over the reef or even take a hot air balloon ride at sunrise or sunset over this incredible city.

Australia provides every opportunity the experienced or inexperienced tourist might wish for. From sophisticated hotels to luxury resorts to outback excursions, visitors to this vast country, the world’s sixth largest, can find everything and anything they might want to do on vacation. Hot nightclubs, conservation areas for backpackers, hotels and shopping, Australia has it all and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Italy’s spectacular and undiscovered region of Abruzzo lies south-east of the better-known areas of Umbria and the Marche, and stretches from the mountainous Appenines to the Adriatic coast.

The mountains are divided into several National Park areas and are great for spotting wildlife, being home to deer, chamois, wild-boar, wolves and even a very small number of bears. The landscapes are beautiful, and very varied: high barren peaks rise from slopes cloaked in beech-woods and rolling meadowland and crystal-clear streams.

Within gorges, the cliff-sides hide a number of ancient hermitages hewn from the rock which make for great exploring. In winter the region is cloaked in snow, and there are a number of ski resorts popular with locals. The medieval towns of L’Aquila and Sulmona both offer beautiful architecture, churches and museums, restaurants and shopping, and are both set in spectacular mountain scenery, with plenty to keep children entertained and interested.

During summer, you can head to the developed Adriatic coast, which is an endless strip of sandy beach, but beware, it gets very crowded and hot in high season. Beaches are clean, the seafood is delicious, and a little way inland there are some interesting towns and villages to visit. The Abruzzese are friendly and welcoming, and adore children. However, this is Italy off-the-beaten-track, so don’t expect English to be spoken much outside the main tourist offices and larger hotels.

When
Inland in the mountains the winter lingers on until March/April. May and June are beautiful months, with snow lingering picturesquely on the peaks, and the lush meadows thick with wild-flowers – perfect for picnicking. July and August are hot and crowded on the coast, but blissfully refreshing for strolling in the mountains, and in the autumn the wooded slopes are a riot of colour, with many fabulous clear days of sunshine.

How
Ryanair have daily flights from London Stansted to Pescara, on the Adriatic Coast. Alternatively, both Ryanair and Easyjet fly daily from a variety of UK airports to Rome Ciampino, although you may then have a drive of 2-3 hours to reach your final destination in Abruzzo.

Do
There are masses of wonderful walks in the spectacular mountain regions, from scaling the highest peak in the Appenines, the great Corno Grande at 2914m, or strolling through meadows of wild-flowers, exploring deep gorges, or picnicking by crystal-clear streams.

The mountains are home to abundant flora and fauna, and there are medieval hermitages to explore, built into the rocky cliffs. The regional capital of L’Aquila has a great castle to visit, and a connection with the number 99: there is a fountain with 99 spouts (almost), there used to be 99 churches and 99 piazzas, and the town hall bell still chimes 99 times each evening. (You may also be lucky enough to get a flake in your 99!)

The smaller but very pretty town of Sulmona is where confetti (sugared almonds) were invented and the main street is crowded with shops selling colourful displays of floral arrangements made entirely from confetti. Both these towns have impressive churches and museums, restaurants, cafes and shopping too.

Abruzzo has countless medieval hilltop villages with spectacularly set castles, which can be visited by exploring the area with a car. The Adriatic coast has long stretches of clean sandy beach and is a lively place to be during the summer. It is quite heavily developed and crowded with holidaying Italians during the hottest months of July and August.

Eat
Abruzzo has two very different cuisines. On the Adriatic coast there is excellent seafood, while in the mountains wonderful game dishes are available of venison and wild boar, as well as an abundance of fresh vegetables, grains and pulses. Vegetarians are well catered for with pasta sauces of tomatoes, asparagus, artichoke or porcini mushrooms, but little seafood reaches the mountain regions. Fresh cheeses are particularly good, and of course delicious bread, pizza, ice-cream and wine is available throughout the region. The medieval town of Sulmona is the place to find confetti (sugared almonds).

Cost
Abruzzo is a relatively inexpensive region of Italy. Accommodation is reasonably priced and the excellent restaurants will feed you full to bursting and then present you with a pleasingly small bill. Ryanair’s daily flights from London Stansted to Pescara can be a real bargain, especially during mid-week and if booking well in advance.

This China travel Guide is for the famous China attractions, Jade Buddha Temple in east China’s Shanghai city. It has been praised by almost all the tourists who had been taken a Shanghai travel.

In the western part of Shanghaicity, a very flourishing city, there is a famous Buddhist temple, Jade Buddha Temple or Yu Fo Temple. In 1882, an old temple was built to keep two jade Buddha statues which had been brought from Burma by a monk named Huigen. The temple was destroyed during the revolution that overthrew the Qing Dynasty. Fortunately the jade Buddha statues were saved and a new temple was built on the present site in 1928. It was named the Jade Buddha Temple.

The two precious statues are not only rare cultural relics but also porcelain artworks. Both the Sitting Buddha and the Recumbent Buddha are carved with whole white jade. The sparkling and crystal-clear white jade gives the Buddhas the beauty of sanctity and make them more vivid. The Sitting Buddha is 190 centimeters high and encrusted by the agate and the emerald, portraying the Buddha at the moment of his meditation and enlightenment. The Recumbent Buddha is 96 centimeters long, lying on the right side with the right hand supporting the head and the left hand placing on the left leg, this shape is called the ‘lucky repose’. The sedate face shows the peaceful mood of Sakyamuni when he left this world. In the temple there is also another Recumbent Buddha which is four meters long and was brought from Singapore by the tenth abbot of the temple in 1989. Furthermore there are many other ancient paintings and Buddhist scriptures distributed in the different halls of the temple.

Although the Jade Buddha Temple’s history is not very long, the old-time and classical architectural style makes the temple unique and inimitable in this modern city. Devajara Hall, Mahavira Hall and the Jade Buddha Tower make up the temple’s main structure and at sides are the the Amitabha Dian Hall, Kwan-yin Dian Hall, the Zen Tang Hall, the Dining-Room and the Recumbent Buddha Hall. The Sitting Buddha is in the Jade Buddha Tower and the Recumbent Buddhas are in the Recumbent Buddha Hall. More than 7,000 Dazang sutras are kept in the Jade Buddha Tower; these are all the inestimable culture relics.

The Jade Buddha Temple is a good place to go whether you are a Buddhist or not, the peaceful and transcendent atmosphere adds a kind of richness to our busy modern society.
