Time For The Holidays To Come Back!
Are holidays really back to rise up again. Several different holiday research companies have announced that vacation bookings have already risen since last year by 1.6%. This number may not seem like a massive jump, but this small increase shows that the recession may be beginning to slow.
A retail firm in New York has released information that they predict an increase in holiday sales next year to be even more. Shopper Trak is a Retail research company that has estimated rises in holiday bookings in the next holiday season.
People have started to start booking holidays for 2010 this September and October. Tour Operators are apparently expecting a heavy spending yet prosperous year.
Tropical holidays and holidays to North America have been on the rise, more specifically the Caribbean has seen a rise.
Holidays at home are on the decrease once again, and consumers seem to be more interested in booking holidays abroad, even luxury ones. The sign that we are booking yet even more holidays must mean that we are slowly getting rid of our money problems.
The most popular holidays are; Egypt holidays, America holidays, and strangely Cuba holidays. If you look into the inquiries made, there are three places that really stand out. In England more than 160,000 people a month (Albeit some the same each month) enquirer only about Egypt holidays.
When looking at some of the holidays being booked it becomes clear that Caribbean holidays, Indian Ocean holidays and Africa holidays are going to be among the most popular in the future. These three holidays when put together, get the most inquiries each month, whether it is a booking or just information. Other Tour Operators have speculated that the Dominican Republic will be the place to holiday, probably due to the refurbishment of the islands image that the Government is attempting to clean up.
Holidays will be going mad all across the world, fingers crossed that everything goes to plan.
